From a hike to a startup

What began as a hike in the mountains turned into an idea. Two friends combining design and technology to explore a new way of connecting people.

We noticed a gap in how relationships and meaningful interactions are formed online. Dating apps reduce people to photos. We wanted to build something that works differently.

That experiment became FAVORS, founded in Zurich. Building from scratch, together. The app pairs people based on character, not pictures. The answer to swipe fatigue.

The matching itself stays human. But everything around it, we build fast and in small numbers. AI is how we keep up: campaigns, visuals, ideas that would normally need a whole team. It’s the quiet co-worker that lets two people run a company.

We’re launching across Switzerland in summer 2026.
